The Golden Rules: How to Eat in the Tayebat System

Published on 2026/05/02

What most distinguishes the Tayebat System is not only its food list, but the way of eating itself. Below are the key rules as set out by Dr. Diaa Al-Awadhi.

1. Eat only when hungry

Do not eat out of habit or by the clock; wait for genuine hunger. This rule gives the digestive system rest between meals.

2. The 80% rule

Stop eating before reaching complete fullness. Filling the stomach entirely, according to the system, strains the body.

3. Protein every other day

Animal protein is not eaten daily but alternately, to give the body a rest.

Remember these rules are guidance, and any major change to your diet, especially with a chronic illness, is best discussed with your doctor or a nutritionist.
